Guidelines and Limitations
The following provisions apply to your coverage:
- References to "you" and "your" throughout these terms and conditions refers to the contract holder named herein; references to "CCMC", refers to Cross Country Motor Club, Inc. and Cross Country Motor Club of California, Inc., the third-party administrators for the roadside services; and references to "contract", refers to the contract that you purchased through your dealer.
- In the event the cost of roadside assistance or covered services exceeds coverage limits, you will be required to pay the additional service charges at the time service is rendered. Additional charges are not reimbursable.
- Your 24-hour roadside assistance service coverage begins on the purchase date of the contract and will continue until the expiration indicated on the contract.
- Only the vehicle identified on the contract is eligible for 24-hour roadside assistance services, while operated by you or by anyone with your permission.
- Services and benefits are available in the 50 states of the United States of America and the District of Columbia (but excluding its territories and possessions) and Canada.
- Roadside assistance, towing and lockout services and benefits are rendered as "emergency services" and are available only when the covered vehicle is unable to proceed safely under its own power, either on the contract holder's premises (garage or driveway) or any normally traveled, paved public street, highway or parking area.
- Frequency Limits - Service will only be provided for one disablement for the same cause during any consecutive 7-day period. Only one tow or other service per disablement will be provided. Services are for emergencies only and not intended to be a general repair service or used as a substitute for regular/routine maintenance.
- All services are limited to a combined four service incidents per contract year (the twelve (12) month anniversary period from the date of purchase of your contract during the term set forth in the application). If more than the above number of service incidents occur during a coverage year, we will continue to provide the benefits of dispatched service to your disabled vehicle, however, any resulting service charges must be paid by you, the contract holder, at the time service is rendered and these charges are not reimbursable.
- Since the service provider and service facilities are independent contractors and are not CCMC's agents or employees, neither Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc. nor CCMC can assume liability for any damage to a vehicle or injury to person(s) or other claims from the rendering of service or for personal items left in the vehicle. Any claims for damage to the property or injury to person(s) must be filed against the service provider or facility.
Type of Vehicles Covered:
Your coverage was designed with your passenger car or light truck in mind. CCMC will arrange for 24-hour roadside assistance services for (i) self-propelled, four-wheel vehicles designed, licensed, and used for private on-road transportation and (ii) trucks designed, licensed and used for on-road transportation, with a carrying capacity of up to one (1) US ton (2,000 pounds), subject to the exclusions described in these contract guidelines. CCMC allows coverage on vehicles used for "light duty commercial use". This is defined as "company or pool vehicles used for business travel, site inspection, light delivery, service or repair, and snow removal provided YOUR vehicle is equipped for snow removal as recommended by the manufacturer. Cab/chassis, cutaways, stripped chassis, incomplete vehicles, branded title vehicles and any vehicles exceeding one (1) ton capacity are not eligible for coverage."
Reimbursement In Certain Circumstances:
When, because of unusual circumstances, you utilize the option of obtaining emergency services through your own service provider (a service provider is defined as an established commercial garage, service station or other repair facility), first you must call CCMC and receive an authorization number. For reimbursement consideration, up to $100 per occurrence for covered services, send a copy or the original of the pre-printed itemized receipt (including name, address, and telephone number of the service provider), your authorization number, your name, address, contract number, the date and location of your disabled vehicle when emergency services were provided, and a description detailing the emergency services provided and amount of the service charges.
